R.Jeremiah(Hebrew:רבי ירמיה) was aTannasage of the last generation and anAmorasage of the first generation, active in theLand of Israelduring the transition period between the Tannaic and Amora sages eras.

TheTalmudtells that one of his pupils was a sage called Hezekiah.[1]Rabbi Yehudah be-Rabbi Kalonymus mi-Speyer raises the question whether it was Hezekiah the son ofR. Hiyya,or whether it was Hezekiah the son of the daughter ofRav.[2]
