Joachim Kunz(born 9 February 1959) is a Germanweightlifterwho competed forEast Germanyin the1980 Summer Olympicsand in the1988 Summer Olympics.He was born inStollberg.

At the1980 Summer OlympicsinMoscowhe won a silver medal in the 67.5 kg (149 lb) class. He won gold at the1981and1983 World Championships.[1]At the1988 Summer OlympicsinSeoulhe won a gold medal in the 67.5 kg (149 lb) class.

As of 2008, Kunz is head of Germaninstant soupmanufacturerSuppina.[1][2]
