Joseph John Pagliarulo(born August 1, 1966),[1]also known on the air asJoe Pags,is an Americannationally syndicatedconservativetelevision and radio talk show host.

Biography

Born inAmityville, New York,Pagliarulo later lived in nearbyCopiague,moved toLake Worth, Floridaat age seven, and graduated fromSantaluces Community High School.[2][3]By 1988, Pagliarulo became a store president withDomino's Pizza.[2]

Pagliarulo began his radio career in 1989 inPalm Beach County, Florida,then worked primarily in television news, serving in many roles and eventually as the main anchor atWEYI-TVinSaginaw/Flint, Michigan(1994–1996), morning and noon anchor atWWMTinKalamazoo/Grand Rapids, Michigan(1996–1997), main anchor, managing editor and eventually news director atWLAJinLansing/Jackson, Michigan(1997–2002) and main anchor atWRGBinSchenectady, New York(2002–2005).[4][5]During and after his time at WRGB he also served as talk show host atWHAMinRochester, New Yorkand WXDX (nowWDTW) inDetroit, Michigan.[3]

In 2005, Pagliarulo transitioned totalk radioand began his daily talk show that was first heard oniHeartMedia's flagship talk radio stationWOAI 1200inSan Antonio, Texasas well asKPRC-Houston,KEX-Portland,KHOW-Denver,andKTLK-Minneapolis.AfterAndy Dean's departure fromAmerica Nowin 2014, Pagliarulo's daily show titledThe Joe Pags Showwas broadcast to approximately 130America Nowaffiliates for almost a year until a full-time replacement host was selected. After theAmerica Nowfill-in period ended, Pagliarulo's show began its own syndication throughCompass Media Networks,and is heard on over 160 stations as of August 2022.[5]His daily show is broadcast live from 6-9 PM Eastern Time and on tape delay in some of his syndicated markets.[5]He also hosted a weekend nationally syndicated radio talk show throughPremiere NetworkstitledThe Weekend with Joe Pags,[6][7]which he stepped down from in 2022.[8]

Pagliarulo has made many appearances onFox News,CNN,andMSNBCand previously served as a long-time frequent fill-in forGlenn Beckon Beck's television and radio programs. He has won multiple broadcasting awards from theAssociated Press,[9]his show is listed in the top 25 ofTalkers Magazine's "Heavy Hundred",[10][11]and his show has been named byNewsmaxas one of the most influential talk shows in the country.[5][12]

Personal life

Pagliarulo and his wife Jenny live inTexaswith their five daughters,[13]one of whom was adopted from China.[9]

In May 2011, Pagliarulo underwent surgery fortesticular cancerand has since reported a complete recovery.[14]

On September 2, 2016, Pagliarulo reported that his daughter had been missing since August 31.[15][16]His request for help was spread across news and social media sites includingFacebookandTwitter,and she was recovered unhurt the next day inMexicoaccompanied by a 29-year-old male who was arrested on multiple charges.[17][18]Pagliarulo promised on-air to assist with othermissing and exploited persons,and has since given missing person reports and alerts with the assistance of various missing person agencies as part of his talk show.
