John Wayne Kappler(born December 22, 1943, inBaltimore, Maryland) is a professor in the Department of Integrated Immunology atNational Jewish Health.[2]His principal research is inT cell biology,a subject he collaborates on with his wifePhilippa Marrack.[3]In 1983 they discovered theT cell receptor,together with Ellis Reinherz andJames Allison.
