John Pelu(born 2 February 1982) is a former Swedish professionalfootballerwho played for different clubs in Sweden, Norway and Azerbaijan.

Career

He formerly played forHelsingborgs IFandÖsters IFin Sweden andKongsvinger ILin Norway.

In March 2009, theHouston DynamoofMajor League Soccerhad him in for a one-week trial as they looked for a replacement for former strikerNate Jaqua.^[1]

On 30 March, however, Pelu signed forNorwegian First DivisionsideFK Haugesundon loan, before signing on a permanent deal later on in that year.

Pelu became head coach ofStrindheim ILin March 2014. After seven seasons in Strindheim, he was hired byOrkla FKahead of the 2021 season.^[2]^[3]
