Josef Ludwig Reimer

Josef Ludwig Reimer(1879–1955)[1]was an author fromAustriawho wrote on pan-German ideology in the first decade of the 20th century.[2]During a period ofcolonialismandnationalism,his books were ones of several advocating eastern expansion andethnic cleansingof non-Germanic people includingSlavsandJews.[3]Reimer also considered Latin America as one of the possible targets of the German economic exploitation. In his books Reimer extensively borrowed ideas ofJ.A. de GobineauandH.S. Chamberlainapplying these to the German case,.[4]

Notable works includeGrundzüge deutscher Wiedergeburt(1906) andEin pangermanisches Deutschland(1905).[5]
