Juan de Almoguera,O.SS.T.(February 18, 1605 – March 2, 1676) was aRoman Catholicprelate who served asArchbishop of Lima(1673–1676) andBishop of Arequipa(1659–1673).[1][2][3]

Biography

Juan de Almoguera was born inCórdoba, Spainand ordained a priest in theTrinitarian Order.[3]On February 17, 1659,Pope Alexander VII,appointed himBishop of Arequipa.[1][3]On March 24, 1661, he was consecrated bishop byAgustín Muñoz Sandoval,Bishop of Cuzco.[2][3]On November 27, 1673, Pope Urban VIII, appointed himArchbishop of Limawhere he served until his death on March 2, 1676.[2][3]
