History
[edit]On January 24, 1980, the station firstsigned onasKFMR.[3]It was owned by Carson Communications and aired aneasy listeningcountry musicformat.
On November 23, 1994, it changed its call letters toKQOD.[4]It aired an oldies music format.
In 1999, the station was acquired bySan Antonio-basedClear Channel Communications,the forerunner to today's iHeartMedia, Inc.[5]
