Keith Reaser(born July 31, 1991) is a formerAmerican footballcornerback.He was selected by theSan Francisco 49ersin the fifth round of the2014 NFL draft.[1]He playedcollege footballatFlorida Atlantic.
College career
[edit]Reaser tore hisACLin a game against theUniversity of Alabama at Birmingham Blazers.In his college career for theOwls,he recorded 32 starts, 158 tackles, five interceptions, and one fumble recovery.[2]
Professional career
[edit]San Francisco 49ers
[edit]Reaser was drafted by theSan Francisco 49ersin the fifth round, 170th overall, in the2014 NFL draft.[3]
On September 16, 2017, Reaser was released by the 49ers.[4]
Kansas City Chiefs (first stint)
[edit]On September 19, 2017, Reaser was signed to theKansas City Chiefs' practice squad.[5]He was promoted to the active roster on December 15, 2017.[6]
On September 1, 2018, Reaser was waived with an injury designation by the Chiefs. After going unclaimed on waivers, he was placed on the Chiefs injured reserve.[7]He was released with an injury settlement on September 12, 2018.
Orlando Apollos
[edit]In 2019, Reaser joined theOrlando Apollosof theAlliance of American Football.[8]During week 2 of the2019 AAF season,after a game against theSan Antonio Commanderswhere he had 2 tackles, 3 pass deflections, and a 38-yard interception return, Reaser was named the defensive player of the week.[9]Reaser recorded 12 tackles and three interceptions in eight games with the Apollos before the AAF suspended operations.[10]
Kansas City Chiefs (second stint)
[edit]Reaser signed with the Chiefs on April 4, 2019.[11]He suffered a torn Achilles in practice and was placed on injured reserve on August 8, 2019.[12]Without Reaser, The Chiefs wonSuper Bowl LIV31–20 against his former team, the 49ers.[13]
Personal life
[edit]Reaser's cousin isSean Taylor,who played for theWashington Redskinsand served as an inspiration to him.[14]
