Keny Alexander Arroyo Alvarado(born 14 February 2006), sometimes known asCheche Arroyo,is an Ecuadoreanfootballerwho plays as awingerforIndependiente del Valleand theEcuador national team.

Career

Arroyo is a youth product of Academia Alfaro Moreno before moving to the youth academy ofIndependiente del Vallein 2016.[1]He made his senior and professional debut with Independiente as a substitute in a 2–1 loss toNacionalon 2 December 2023.[2]On 22 February 2024, he signed a professional contract with Independiente until 2027.[3]

International career

Arroyo was selected by theEcuador U17sto represent them at the2023 South American U-17 Championship.[4]Later that same year he was chosen for the2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup.[5]

He was called up to the seniorEcuador national teamfor a set of2026 FIFA World Cup qualificationmatches in October 2024. He made his senior debut as a substitute in a 0–0 tie withUruguayon 16 October 2024.[6]
