TheKinchega National Parkis aprotectednational parkthat is located in theFar Westregion ofNew South Wales,in easternAustralia.The 44,259-hectare (109,370-acre) national park is located approximately 840 kilometres (520 mi) west ofSydneyand 111 kilometres (69 mi) south-east ofBroken Hill.The park adjoins the town ofMenindee.The eastern edge of the Kinchega National Park is formed by theDarling River.
The park is noted for its Aboriginal artefacts, left behind by thePaarkantjipeople, who travelled up and down the Darling River.[2]
Fauna
[edit]It is home to many species of wild animals, such aslace monitor,Peron's tree frog,pinkandblack cockatoos,kultarrand others.[3]
