Kolonaki(Greek:Κολωνάκι,pronounced[koloˈnaci]), literally "Little Column", is an upscale neighborhood in centralAthens,Greece.It is located on the southern slopes ofMount Lycabettus.Its name derives from the two metre column (located inKolonaki Square) that defined the area even before the area's urbanization.
Description
[edit]Museums and galleries include theBenaki Museum,inside a preservedneoclassicalmanor house, and theGoulandris Museum of Cycladic Art.Across the street fromVasilissis Sofias Avenueare theByzantine Museum,and theWar Museum of Athens.
