TheKorea Gas Corporation(KOGAS) is aSouth Koreanpublicnatural gascompany that was established by theKorean governmentin 1983. KOGAS has grown into the largestLNG-importing company in the world[1]and operates fourLNGregasificationterminals and 4,945 km ofnatural gaspipelinesinSouth Korea.
The company has a stake in the Prelude floatingliquefied natural gasfacility in Australia, along with investorsShell,Inpex Corporation, andCPC Corporation.It is the largest floating production structure in the world.[2]Production started in December 2018.[3]
History
