Career

Rugby league

In England, Smith played for a number of BritishSuper Leagueclubs including theLeeds Rhinos,London Broncos,Halifax Blue Sox,Salford Red Devils,Oldham Roughyeds(Heritage № 1201) andSwinton Lions.[4][5][6]

Modelling

Smith has worked extensively as a model after he was signed to an agency in the United Kingdom following his retirement from rugby league.[6]

Following his move to Australia in 2008, he was signed as aMyerambassador - a contract that has subsequently been renewed several times.[7][8][9][10]

Television

In 2010, Smith was announced as the new co-host ofFOX8reality seriesFootball SuperstarreplacingBrian McFadden.[11][12]

Smith was one of the celebrity contestants to compete on the first episode ofCelebrity Come Dine With Me AustraliaonLifestyle.[13]Smith competed againstJosh Thomas,Chloe Maxwelland Prue MacSween on the episode which aired in December 2012.[14]

Throughout 2012 and 2013, Smith was a regular contributor toNetwork Ten's discussion programCan of Worms.[15][16]

In June 2013, Smith was announced as one of the four original presenters of theSeven Network's new early afternoon infotainment programThe Daily Edition,hosting the show alongsideTom Williams,Monique WrightandSally Obermeder.[17][18]Smith continued in this role until it was announced he would be scaling back his commitments to the program from January 2015.[19]

It was revealed in January 2017 that Smith would be one of the contestants to compete on thethird seriesof Network Ten reality series,I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.[20]Smith was the fourth celebrity to be eliminated from the competition.[21]His nominated charity wasWhite Ribbon Australia,having revealed on the show he was once the victim ofdomestic violence.[22]

Smith guest hosted Network Ten lifestyle programThe Living Roomin 2018.[23]Also that year, he was one of the celebrities who took part in the Seven Network'sThe Real Full Monty.[24]In early 2019, it was reported that Smith had teamed up with three of hisThe Real Full Montycastmates (Shane Jacobson,Todd McKenneyandBrian Taylor) to film a new travel comedy show for the Seven Network calledMates on a Mission.[25]

In August 2019, Smith appeared on a celebrity edition ofThe Chase AustraliaalongsideLisa Curry,Brendan JonesandRicki-Lee Coulter.The team managed to achieve a collective total of $47,000 during the first four rounds for their respective charities, but lost the money when they were beaten by The Chaser,Matt Parkinsonin the "Final Chase".[26]Smith was representing Challenge.[27]

Personal life

Smith has had a number of highly publicised relationships, including with performerDannii Minogue,with model and nutritionist Maddy King, and with personal trainer and formerAustralia's Next Top Modelcontestant, Sarah Boulazeris.[28][29][30]

He has one son with Minogue who was born in 2010, and two daughters with Boulazeris, born in 2018 and 2019.[31][32]

Smith suffers fromosteoarthritisand will need to have titaniumknee replacementsfitted in the future.[33]

Smith is also known for his involvement with a number of charitable organisations and causes.[34][35][36][37][38]
