Leucine-rich repeat-containing G-protein coupled receptor 6is aproteinthat in humans is encoded by theLGR6gene.[5][6]Along with the otherG-protein coupled receptorsLGR4andLGR5,LGR6 is aWnt signaling pathwaymediator.LGR6also acts as an epithelial stem cell marker insquamous cell carcinomain micein vivo.[7]

This gene encodes a member of theleucine-rich repeat-containing subgroup of the G protein-coupled 7-transmembrane protein superfamily. The encoded protein is aglycoproteinhormone receptor with a largeN-terminalextracellular domain that contains leucine-rich repeats important for the formation of a horseshoe-shaped interaction motif forligandbinding. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multipletranscript variants.[6]
