Lawrence Curtis Demic(born June 27, 1957) is an American formerprofessional basketballplayer for theNew York Knicksin theNational Basketball Association( NBA ). He played three seasons with the Knicks from 1979 through 1982. Demic playedcollege basketballfor theArizona Wildcats,where he was anAll-Pac-10first team selection in 1979.[1]He was drafted in the1979 NBA draftin the first round with the ninth overall pick by New York.[2]
In 1983, he played for theCrispa Redmanizersin the Open Conference of thePhilippine Basketball Association,teaming up with the legendaryBilly Ray Batesto win the championship and the coveted Grand Slam for the Redmanizers.
