Laura May Harris(born 18 August 1990) is an Australiancricketerwho plays as a right-handedbatterforQueensland Firein theWomen's National Cricket League(WNCL) and Sydney Thunder in theWomen's Big Bash League(WBBL).[1][2][3]

Career

She made her Queensland debut in the2016–17 WNCL.[4]She has played forBrisbane Heatsince the inception of the WBBL in 2015 and hit the winning runs in their title wins in both2018–19and2019–20.[5]In 2021, she was drafted byNorthern Superchargersfor theinaugural seasonofThe Hundred.[6]She played for them in six games and scored 61 runs in total.[7]In January 2023, she signed forWellington Blazefor the remainder of the2022–23 Super Smash.[8]

Personal life

Harris's younger sister is fellow Brisbane Heat cricketerGrace Harris.[9]In November 2019, she proposed to her Brisbane Heat teammateDelissa Kimmince,after dating for four years.[10][11]They married inMarburg, Queenslandin August 2020.[12][5]Harris has worked as a nurse when not playing cricket.[13]
