Leipziger Platz 12

Leipziger Platz 12was the address of a former mansion designed byFriedrich Hitzigin Berlin, Germany. Located on the fashionableLeipziger Platz,the building was the location of theBritish legationfrom 1859 to 1878, and theTurkish embassyfrom 1878 to 1896. The building was then demolished.[1]

This was the only diplomatic building ever located in the square until the completion ofthe new Canadian embassythere in 2005.
