It is part of thePortland–South Portland–Biddeford,MaineMetropolitan Statistical Area.

Little Falls is located at43°43′53″N70°25′32″W/ 43.73139°N 70.42556°W,along thePresumpscot River.According to theUnited States Census Bureau,the CDP has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.2 km2), of which 1.2 square miles (3.0 km2) is land and 0.12 square miles (0.3 km2), or 7.87%, is water.[3]
The CDP ofSouth Windhamis located directly across the Presumpscot River, in the town ofWindham.U.S. Route 202andMaine State Route 4run north-south in a concurrency through both communities.
