Ljusdal(Swedish:[ˈjʉ̌ːsdal])[2]is alocalityand the seat ofLjusdal Municipality,Gävleborg County,Swedenwith 6,230 inhabitants in 2010.[1]
Ljusdal is situated on Riksväg 83 which runs between Tönnebro inSöderhamn MunicipalityinGävleborg CountyandÅngeinVästernorrland County.It is located beside the riverLjusnanwhich goes fromBruksvallarnato theGulf of Bothnia. Ljusdal is noted for having hosted the annualBandy World Cupin the sport ofbandyfrom 1974 to 2008.[citation needed]
ThreeDecorated Farmhouses of Hälsinglandsituated in Ljusdal Municipality were inscribed in 2012 on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. [3]
