TheU.S. stateofLouisianahas a total of tenmetropolitan statistical areas(MSAs); 37 of Louisiana's sixty-four (64)parishesare classified as metropolitan.[1]According to the2020 United States census,these parishes had a combined population of 3,918,560 (84.1% of the state's population).
