Madavan(Persian:مادوان)[a]was a city in theCentral DistrictofBoyer-Ahmad County,Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmadprovince,Iran.
Demographics

[edit]At the time of the 2006 National Census, Madavan's population was 7,109 in 1,403 households, when it was a village inSarrud-e Shomali Rural District.[4]The following census in 2011 counted 10,777 people in 2,428 households,[5]by which time the village had been elevated to the status of a city and renamed Madavan.[6]The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 18,078 people in 4,219 households.[2]
After the census, the city of Madavan and the villages ofBalahzar,Jadval-e Ghureh-ye Mehrian,Madavan-e Sofla,Mehrian,Sarab-e Taveh,Servak,andTall Khosrowwere merged with the city ofYasuj.[7]
