Karl Markus Alfred Allard(born 3 January 1990) is a Swedish politician, journalist and columnist, serving as leader of theÖrebro Partysince its inception in 2014. Since thegeneral electionin 2018, he is amunicipal commissionerand one of two members from the Örebro Party inthe Örebro municipal assembly,along with the former policeman Peter Springare.[1]Allard writes columns for the blogLedarsidorna,[2]and has previously worked as a journalist for the online newspaperNyheter Idag.[3]

He has a podcast with writerMalcom Kyeyune.[4]

Biography

From 2009 to 2013, Allard was chairman of theYoung Left's district organisation inÖrebro.He worked for the election campaign ofOumar Marikoin Mali during the2012 Malian coup d'état.[5][6]

Markus Allard is the grandson of theSocial Democraticpolitician andspeaker of the RiksdagHenry Allard.
