Chhena Matar Tarkari(Hindi:छेना मटर तरकारी,Odia:ଛେନା ମଟର ତରକାର) is a vegetarian dish originating fromOdisha.[1][2]It generally consists ofpeasandchhenain a tomato-based sauce,[3]spiced withgaram masala.Its modern restaurant-style version also known asmatar paneer,[4][5]is popular inNorth Indian culinary tradition.[6][7]

It is often served with rice and an Indian type of bread (naan,paratha,poori,orrotidepending on region). Various other ingredients are often added, such as potato (aloo), corn, yogurt or cream.[8][9]
