Meg Masonis an Australian author and journalist. Her 2020 novelSorrow and Blisswon theBritish Book Awards2022 Fiction Book of the Year.

Career

Mason lived in the United Kingdom for five years during which time she wrote for theFinancial TimesandThe Timesbefore moving toSydneyand starting a career as a freelance journalist.[1]She has written for a number of magazines includingVogue,ElleandGQ.[1]

She published her first bookSay It Again in a Nice Voicein 2012 and her first novelYou Be Motherin 2017.[1]Sorrow and Blissis Mason's third book and the first to be released in the UK.[1]It won theBritish Book Awards2022 Fiction Book of the Year.[2]Her novel was also shortlisted for theAustralian Book Industry Awards' Literary fiction book of the year in 2021 and theWomen's Prize for Fictionin 2022.[1][3][4]Film and television rights forSorrow and Blisswere sold toNew Regency.[5]

Personal life
