Matman Township,also known asMetman Township,is a township of theWa Self-Administered DivisionofShan State,[2]formerly and conterminously part ofMatman District.The capital of the township isMatman.
History[edit]
Historically most of the area had been the mountainous and wooded northwestern end ofKengtung State.[3]Prior to 2011 the Township was carved out from parts ofHopang DistrictandKengtung District.[4]
