Michael Kozollis an Americanscreenwriter.[1]He is perhaps best known for creating thepolice proceduraltelevision seriesHill Street Bluesalong withSteven Bochco.[2]Kozoll wrote for television programs includingDelvecchio,Quincy, M.E.,McCloud,Richie Brockelman, Private EyeandKolchak: The Night Stalker.He won twoPrimetime Emmy Awards,and was nominated for two more, in the categoryOutstanding Writing for a Drama Seriesfor his work onHill Street Blues.[3]In 1981 he won an Emmy forOutstanding Drama Series,along with Bochco andGregory Hoblit.[4]
