Michael Vincent Lee(born November 29, 1968)[1]is aRepublicanmember of theNorth Carolina State Senate.
Lee was first appointed to office in August 2014 replacingThom Goolsby.
He was re-elected at theNovember 2016 electionfor a second term, having defeatedDemocratAndrew Barnhill 57.35% to 42.65%.[2]He was defeated by DemocratHarper Petersonin the2018election and defeated Peterson in a rematch in the2020election.
Lee holds a bachelor's degree from theUniversity of North Carolina at Chapel Hilland a law degree fromWake Forest University.
As a lawyer, Lee started his own law firm in 2012.[3]
