Milho frito(friedcornmealin English) is a typicalMadeiraside dish made ofcornmeal,finely slicedcollard greens(althoughkaleis a common substitute), water, garlic, lard and olive oil cooked slowly and cooled into forms. Similar to a very firmpolenta,it is cut into cubes and fried.[1]It is usually served withespetadaand otherregional dishes in Madeira.
