Mollnis a municipality in the district ofKirchdorf an der Kremsin theAustrianstate ofUpper Austria.It is remembered as a place where there was a poacher battle in 1919 and four people were shot and killed.[3]
Geography
[edit]Molln lies in theTraunviertel.About 70 percent of the municipality is forest, and 20 percent is farmland.
Kalkalpen National ParkincludingCentral Europe's largest forested area is located in proximity to the municipality. Molln houses avisitor center.
Natural Gas Reserve
[edit]Molln is currently prospected for anatural gas reserveof 24 km3(270TWhenergy).[4]Environmental effects of this are in dispute[5]whileenergy securityandinflationhave reemerged as primary concerns in theEU.
