Managerial career

[edit]After having head coaching roles atMohammedan,[citation needed]Green Valley[4]and an assistant role atEast Bengal[citation needed]Banerjee signed forMohun Baganon 19 October 2012 as caretaker head coach of the club until 18 November 2012 whenKarim Bencherifatook over as coach of the club and Banerjee became assistant coach.[5]
Mohammedan
[edit]At the beginning of 2015 season, Mridul Banerjee has returned to Mohammedan Sporting Club which is currently playing inCalcutta Football League(Premier Division "A" ) and will also take part inI-League 2nd Divisionlater.
West Bengal football team
[edit]On 30 November 2016 it was announced that Banerjee would take charge of theWest Bengal football teamfor theirSantosh Trophyqualifying matches after being selected from a shortlist of other potential head coaches.[6]
