Mundaka Kanni Amman Templeis aHindu templein the neighbourhood ofMylaporeinChennai,India.It is dedicated toMariammanand used to be famous foranimal sacrifices.[citation needed]The temple is one of the most famous shrines dedicated to Mariamman.

The neighbourhood is served byMundakanniamman Koil railway stationof theChennai MRTSon the Chennai Beach -Velacheryline.

In the Luz-Sanlthome road, at the left an arch could be seen. Through that route this temple could be reached.

Structure

In the rear side of the presiding deity a tree is found. It is worshipped as the Temple tree.[1]Facing east, this temple has a three-tiergopura.SacredFicus religiosatrees are found inside the temple.VinayakaandNāgasare also found inside.

Mundakanniamman is the presiding deity of the temple. She is one of theAvatarsof Renukadevi and one among the Saptakannis.[1]
