Biography[edit]

Najah Choheili was born inAhvaz,Iran into theKuhailia(Persian pronunciation:Choheili) family. His father was GanzibraJabbar Choheili,while his brother isSalah Choheili,^[2]who is currently theRishamaof theMandaean community in Australia.^[3]^[4]

He currently serves as the head of theMandaean Council of Ahvazand is the head of the Mandaean community in Iran.^[5]^[6]
