Nat Mags

National Magazine Company(orNat Mags) is a British[1]magazine publisher based in London. It was established in 1910 byWilliam Randolph Hearstand was a wholly owned subsidiary of theHearst Corporation.[2]

Arnaud de Puyfontainebecame chief executive of Nat Mags in 2009. His predecessor Duncan Edwards had been at the company since around 1990 and was previouslymanaging director.In 2008The Guardiannewspaper named Duncan Edwards the 75th most important person in the British media.[3]

In 2006 Nat Mags expanded into digital media by purchasing women's portal websiteHandbag.[4]Nat Mags soon launched its digital armHearst Digitalto act as an umbrella forHandbagand its other web acquisition,Net Doctor.[5]

Nat Mags merged withHachette Filipacchi MédiasUK in 2011 to formHearst Magazines UK.
