Nazeeh Johnson(born July 17, 1998) is an American professionalfootballcornerbackfor theKansas City Chiefsof theNational Football League(NFL). He playedcollege footballatMarshalland was drafted by the Chiefs in the seventh round of the2022 NFL draft.[1]

College career

Johnson was unranked as a recruit by247Sportscoming out of high school.[2]Johnson majored in Communications and walked on to theMarshallfootball team. He started four seasons for the Herd, totaling 302 tackles, six tackles for loss, one sack, seven interceptions, 19 passes defended and a defensive touchdown.[3]

Johnson was drafted by theKansas City Chiefswith the 259th pick in the seventh round of the2022 NFL draft.[6]He was waived on August 30, 2022, and signed to the practice squad the next day.[7][8]He was promoted to the active roster on September 28, 2022.[9]Johnson wonSuper Bowl LVIIwhen the Chiefs defeated thePhiladelphia Eagles.[10]

During training camp, Johnson suffered atorn ACLand was placed on season-ending injured reserve on July 30, 2023.[11]Without Johnson, the Chiefs wonSuper Bowl LVIIIagainst theSan Francisco 49ersgiving Johnson his second straightSuper Bowl ring.[12]

Johnson re-signed with the Chiefs on March 11, 2024.[13]
