New flamenco(ornuevo flamenco) orflamenco fusionis a musical genre that was born in Spain, starting in the 1980s. It combinesflamenco guitarvirtuosity and traditional flamenco music withmusical fusion[1](with genres like jazz, blues, rock, rumba, and years later reggaeton, hip hop, or electronic music).

Las Migas,an all-women quartet from Barcelona, is one of the notable groups. Their 2022 albumLibreswas distinguished as "Best Flamenco Music Album" at the23rd Annual Latin Grammy Awards.[2]
