Nirig

InMandaeism,Nirig(Classical Mandaic:ࡍࡉࡓࡉࡂ) orNerigis the Mandaic name for the planetMars.Nirig is one of theseven planets(Classical Mandaic:ࡔࡅࡁࡀ,romanized:šuba,lit. 'The Seven'), who are part of the entourage ofRuhain theWorld of Darkness.^[1]^[2]

Nirig, who is also calledMarik,is associated with Islam, as well as with war and violence. Nirig's name is derived from the AkkadianNergallu.^[3]
