Nopalitosis adishmade with dicednopales,the naturally flat stems, called pads, of prickly pear cactus (Opuntia). They are sold fresh, bottled, orcannedand less oftendried.They have a light, slightly tart flavor, and a crisp,mucilaginoustexture.[1]Nopalitos are often eaten witheggsas a breakfast and in salads andsoupsas lunch and dinner meals.[2]
