Founded in 1900, it features a 7,031 yard 18-holegolfcourse.[2]In 1933, it hosted theU.S. Openthat was won byJohnny Goodman.It has also hosted theWestern Openonce and theU.S. Amateurtwice. It was host site of theEncompass Championshipon theChampions Tourfrom 2013 to 2015.
The course was designed by English architect Charles Allison ofColt MacKenzie and Alison.
