Owen Strachan(pronounced "Stran"[1]) is an American Calvinist theologian. He isprovostof Grace Bible Theological Seminary in Arkansas and became the Senior Director of the Dobson Culture Center in June 2024.

Strachan studied atBowdoin College,Southern Baptist Theological Seminary,andTrinity Evangelical Divinity School.[2]He previously taught atMidwestern Baptist Theological Seminaryand served as president of theCouncil on Biblical Manhood and Womanhoodfrom 2014 to 2016.[3][4][5]

Strachan is a critic of bothwokeness[6]andChristian nationalism.[7]His podcast "Grace and Truth with Owen Strachan" is hosted by theSalem Podcast Network.[8]Mark Wingfield, writing forBaptist News Globalin 2022, suggested that Strachan "remains an influential person among the right-most flank of theSBC."[9]

His birthday is May 14, 1981.
