Creois a family ofComputer-aided design(CAD) apps supportingproduct designfordiscrete manufacturersdeveloped byPTC.
Creo runs onMicrosoft Windowsand provides software for 3D CADparametric featuresolid modeling,3D direct modeling, 2Dorthographicviews, Finite Element Analysis and simulation,schematic design,technical illustrations,andviewing and visualization.Creo can also be paired with theMastercammachining based software.
History
[edit]PTC began developing Creo in 2009, and announced it using the code name Project Lightning at PlanetPTC Live, in Las Vegas, in June 2010.[1]
In October 2010, PTC unveiled the product name Creo.[2]
PTC released Creo 1.0 in June 2011.[3]
PTC released Creo 2.0 in 2012.[4]
