Pamela Reed(born April 2, 1949) is an American actress. She is known for playingArnold Schwarzenegger'shypoglycemicpolice partner in the 1990 filmKindergarten Copand portraying thematriarchGail Green inJericho.She appeared asMarlene Griggs-Knopeon theNBCsitcomParks and Recreation.She is also well known as the exasperated wife inBean.
Early life and education[edit]
Reed was born inTacoma, Washington,the daughter of Vernie and Norma Reed.[citation needed]She received her B.F.A. at theUniversity of Washington.[1][2]
Career[edit]
Reed earned aDrama Desk Awardfor theoff-BroadwayplayGetting Outand anObie Awardfor "sustaining excellence in performance in theater". She was a regular in the cast of the 1977CBSdramaThe Andros Targets.She had minor film and television work in the 1980s. She won aCableAce Awardfor Best Actress for the HBO seriesTanner '88(1988). She also co-starred with Daryl Hannah in the filmThe Clan of the Cave Bear(1985).[3]
