ThePeople's Participation Party(Korean:국민참여당;Hanja:Quốc dân tham dự đảng;PPP) was a political party ofSouth Korea.It was formed by many of the former members of theUri Partyafter the death of former PresidentRoh Moo-hyun.Rhyu Si-minwas elected as Party Chairman on March 19, 2011. In March 2011 it had 45,335 members.[3]For the April 27by-elections,the People's Participation Party has cooperated with theDemocratic Partyto enterLee Bong-suas the single opposition candidate for theKimhaeseat in theNational Assembly of South Korea.On 5 December 2011, it merged into theUnified Progressive Party.
