Patrick Muldoon(born September 27, 1968) is an Americanactor,film producer, and musician.

Early life and education

Muldoon was born in San Pedro, California, the son of Deanna, a homemaker, and William Patrick Muldoon II, a personal injury lawyer.[1]He is ofIrishdescent on his father's side and ofCroatiandescent on his mother's side.[2][3]He attendedLoyola High School,a Jesuit school. Muldoon graduated in 1991 from theUniversity of Southern California,where he was a member of theSigma Chifraternity and playedtight endon theUSC Trojansfootball team.

Career

Muldoon was the first actor to play the role ofAustin ReedonDays of Our Lives,from 1992 to 1995 and again from September 2011 to July 2012. Prior to that, he landed a role on the popular teen television seriesSaved by the Bellin 1991.

During the 1990s, Muldoon became the only actor ever to hold an exclusive development deal withSpelling Entertainment.Muldoon co-produced programming with Spelling Television's vice president Tony Shepherd, and their television development began with the USA Petite Model Show created by actress-model Ann Lauren. The show was filmed on-location atCaesar's Palace Las Vegason the renowned ColosseumCircus MaximusShowroom stage, inThe Forum Shopsand sponsored byCartier.The televised special was co-hosted by Patrick Muldoon and Ann Lauren with special guest co-starAudrey Landersof Dallas and broadcast on WWOR and WGN Superstations distributed bySpelling Television Worldvision.

Muldoon's roles include playing the popular villain Richard Hart on the primetime soap operaMelrose Placefrom 1995 to 1996. Muldoon played Zander Barcalow in the 1997Paul Verhoeven-directed filmStarship Troopers.In 1998, he starred in the television filmBlack Cat Run,directed byD.J. Caruso.He has also starred in several films for theLifetimeandHallmarkchannels. On stage, Muldoon playedEdmundinPatsy Rodenburg's 2006 production ofKing Lear.

In 2015, Muldoon produced and starred inBadge of Honor.In 2020, he appeared in the filmsArkansasandThe Comeback Trail.
