ThePatriotic Party of Labour(Bulgarian:Отечествена партия на труда,Otechestvena partiya na truda,OPT) was a political party inBulgaria.
History
[edit]The party was established after the end of theCommunist eraas the political arm of the Committee for the Defence of National Interests.[1]It contested the1990 Constitutional elections,winning a single seat.[2]
For the1991 electionsthe party joined thePre-Electoral Union,an alliance led by theBulgarian Socialist Party.[3]The alliance finished in second place, winning 106 of the 240 seats.[3]
The party did not contest any further elections until2001,when it received just 0.04% of the vote.[4]
