Paul Groves(born November 24, 1964, inLake Charles, Louisiana) is an Americanoperatictenor.In 1991 he won theMetropolitan Opera National Council Auditionsand in 1995 he won the prestigiousRichard Tucker Award.He has sung leading roles with majoropera housesthroughout the world, including theBoston Lyric Opera,De Nederlandse Opera,La Scala,theLos Angeles Opera,theLyric Opera of Chicago,theMetropolitan Opera,theParis Opera,theSalzburg Festival,theSan Francisco Opera,theSanta Fe Opera,theVienna State Opera,theWashington National Opera,the Grand Theatre Genève and theWelsh National Operaamong others.[1]
