Peter A. Ing(born April 28, 1969) is a Canadian former professionalice hockeygoaltender.He played 74 games in theNational Hockey Leaguewith theToronto Maple Leafs,Edmonton Oilers,andDetroit Red Wingsbetween 1989 and 1993.
Biography
[edit]Ing was born inToronto,Ontario of mixed ancestry. His father wasChineseand mother was Jewish. As a youth, Ing played in the 1982Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournamentwith aminor ice hockeyteam fromBarrie.[1]
Ing was selected in the third round, 48th overall, by theToronto Maple Leafsin the1988 NHL Entry Draft,and joined Toronto in 1989. He briefly played for theEdmonton Oilersand theDetroit Red Wings.His later career was spent in theInternational Hockey Leagueand theAmerican Hockey League.[citation needed]
Ing retired from hockey and worked at a casino inLas Vegas, Nevadaand later as director of slot marketing atCasino Niagara.[2]
