Photon Paintis aHold-And-Modify(HAM) basedbitmap graphics editorfor theAmiga,first released in 1987.[1][2][3][4]Photon Paint was the firstbitmap graphics editorto incorporate 3Dsolid modelingandtexture mappingas an integral part of the program.[5][4]

Photon Paint was programmed byOren Peli,Eyal Ofek, and Amir Zbeda atBazbosoft,an Israeli software house. It was published byMicroIllusionsdistributed worldwide.[2][6]

The program sold 250,000 copies and received a best of breed award from Amiga World magazine.[citation needed]

The originalPhoton Paint v1.0was released in 1987 for the Commodore Amiga.[2][7]AMacintoshversion was released in 1988 byMediagenic.[8][9][10]

Photon Paint v2.0for the Amiga was released in 1988.[11][12][13][5][14]
