Pietro Lucatelli

Pietro Lucatelli(c. 1630-after 1690) was an Italian painter active during theBaroqueperiod inRome.He was born nearRome.He was a pupil ofCiro FerriandPietro da Cortona,and his pictures in the church of Sant' Agostino and thePalazzo Colonnashow boldness and freedom of coloring. AtSienahe painted aBeato Galganofor the church of San Francesco, and anAssumptionfor the hospital of Santa Maria della Scala. He was living in 1690, and died destitute and poor inRome.

Pietro Locatelli,an alternative name, is also the name of a famous violinist.
