Portlandis aport cityin the U.S. state ofOregonlocated at theconfluenceof theWillametteandColumbia Rivers.Established in the 1830s as a camp along theOregon Trail,Portland evolved into a majorWest Coastindustrial city during the twentieth century. Contemporarily, it is the most populous city in Oregon, and the second-largest city in thePacific Northwest.[1]
